LI819 Presentation: Meet the Digital Humanities

MLS Outcomes: 1I, 1J, 3A, 4D, 5C, 5D, 7D
MLS Values: PV1, PV4

The purpose of LI819, Information Customization and Retrieval, is to introduce advanced information retrieval strategies and the design and customization of information products.  I studied the theoretical approaches of Krug and May to gain insight into the requirements of sound information design and presentation, and explored the burgeoning field of digital humanities from the perspective of the information professional. This presentation introduces the key concepts of digital humanities for the curious user.  Having completed this project, I have a stronger grasp of information retrieval strategies and efficient, effective delivery of information to users.
